My name is Sheung Lu. I am a third year PhD student in Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. I work with Professor Pamela Abshire in the Integrated Biomorphic Informations Systems (IBIS) Lab
My doctoral research focuses on the design of lab-on-a-chip devices using modern CMOS processes and the system integration of IC chips with microfluidics for wet experimentation. My research covers advanced topics in mixed-signal circuit design, electronics packaging, and MEMS for biomedical applications. Thus far, I have worked on developing devices for monitoring in-vitro the efficacy of chemotherapeutic agents on cancer cell lines. Ultimately, I aspire to be a researcher and engineer in technologies that interface naturally with biology.
